Autonomous Solar Robot

NLEPC Selected Project: Robotics & Renewable Energy

Solar Robot

This project was a significant milestone in my journey, selected for the National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC). It involved designing and developing a solar-powered autonomous robot capable of intelligent navigation and efficient energy utilization.

Project Highlights:

  • Solar Tracking: Implemented a dual-axis solar tracking system to maximize energy absorption by aligning panels with the sun's position.
  • Autonomous Navigation: Utilized ultrasonic sensors and Arduino-based logic to detect obstacles and navigate terrain without human intervention.
  • Sustainable Design: Focused on renewable energy integration to create a self-sustaining robotic system.
  • Complex Integration: Successfully combined mechanical engineering, electronics, and software programming into a cohesive functional unit.

Technologies Used:

  • Arduino Microcontrollers
  • C++ for Embedded Systems
  • Ultrasonic Sensors & Servo Motors
  • Solar Photovoltaic Cells
